Here in Chicago, we have a great organic produce delivery service called Door to Door Organics. Fresh, seasonal produce arrives at our door every Tuesday afternoon and I look forward to coming up and trying new recipes. There have been a lot of greens included in our boxes the last couple of weeks and while I love eating leafy greens: it’s hard to keep up! I found these simple tips on Simply Canning for preparing and freezing your greens.
I’m trying my hardest to live more frugally and simply, and this is a great first step. We also received a ridiculous amount of apples and I’m going to try these methods for freezing too. I can also see apple butter in my future! Do you like to preserve fresh produce too? What other vegetables and methods do you use?
